a gift from the girl i loved
A simple gold ring that I used to wear on my left little finger, but sadly, it no longer fits. It was given to me when I was seventeen by the most beautiful girl I'd ever met. She was gorgeous in every way: intelligent, funny, loving. She was amazing to me, and I loved her beyond words.
When I see the ring now, I think about the times we shared, laughed, danced, and just held hands. The simple pleasures that meant everything, and how happy I was then.
If I lost it, I’d be sad; the memories it carries are priceless. But even without the ring, I’d still hold on to those memories and feelings. She is very dear to me, even after many years with no contact, and that can't be taken away. Love lasts forever. A missing ring wouldn’t change that.
