lamb conduit street

The object is an art medal-a small sculpture-by the Dutch artist called Guus Hellegers. I found it in a small gallery on Lamb conduit street in London when walking back to St Pancras Station in 1999. I was 34 at the time.

I remember that day in London clearly; it was autumn, the sun was shining and I felt happy. Finding something I liked so much felt like a small moment of luck.

If I didn’t have it now, I would miss catching a glimpse of it and how it makes me feel. it was the first art medal i bought.
